Reducing the Revision Fetching Time for Panorama Devices

Overview

In 22-1 we significantly reduced the amount of time (by 95%) it takes to fetch revisions from Panorama devices. The code was rewritten, and now involves the device-comm service pod, as well as the device-collector pod.

This improvement requires activation, and for 22-1 PGA.0.0 will not be activated by default for all customers. Instead it will need to be manually activated by Tufin.

The improvement is supported for Panorama 9 and above.

Activate the improved revision fetching for Panorama devices

  • Edit the StConf file (via stcgitest.htm page) and change the value of enable_panorama_rest_api from 0 to 1.
