Configuring Designer to Preserve Applied-To for NSX-T Rules

Overview

When modifying existing NSX-T rules, Designer may update the Applied-To field and set it to DFW.

To prevent Designer from modifying the Applied-To field when updating NSX-T rules, you can configure a flag in the StConf file.

Configure the flag

  1. Open https://<SecureTrack_IP>/securetrack/admin/stcgitest.htm.

  2. Select Edit StConf > Fetch StConf in the StConf UI.

  3. Add the following flag to the StConf file and set it to true:

    <Designer_nsx_do_not_apply_dfw_when_modifying_rule>true</Designer_nsx_do_not_apply_dfw_when_modifying_rule>

  4. Click Submit New Conf.
